yum: seasonal ingredients

I try to eat seasonally – and living in Minnesota, I’m telling you that it’s a challenge.

Epicurious is here to help, with its seasonal ingredients map. You can browse by state and month and it’ll tell you what’s fresh at the farmers’ markets. Be glad you don’t live in Montana (nothing yet) or North Dakota (cabbage only)!

  1. Ooh I see you guys have raspberries. I live in Nebraska so I’ll trade you some corn or zucchini for some raspberries.

  2. The Wednesday farmers market in my neighborhood just opened for the season last week. Unfortunately, only one vendor this early. But later…mmmm, fresh local peaches. Can’t wait.

  3. They lie, blablover. I haven’t seen local raspberries yet. But I suppose it’s just the beginning of June!

Lots of asparagus though. Nom nom.
